Sharing is caring…or is it?

It seems innocuous enough.

It even seems helpful.

But really?

People have enough on their plate without lazy content sharing or cover your ass passing info along.

We are all guilty of passing something along for a variety of reasons.

Some of them are legit
And some are just passing the buck

There is something called the long tail on the Internet. These are things that live on for a long time and have value.

That is both a good thing and a bad thing.  One on hand, it might mean that the information has value and people will pay for it for a long time, but on the other hand it means that it has been dealt with.

Obviously, things that keep getting shared have some value.

But sharing content without setting expectations of what someone is supposed to do with it and by when is a formula for more loose ends.

Loose ends of information are probably unavoidable. And maybe some information should always stay open…because things change.

Context is everything…But context is not static.
